This is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first.
Dec 11/05: Well I'm not going to lie to you, I slacked off on the web updates big time this year! For those of you that that asked if I was waiting for christmas...no it's still 14 days away!!! Well the 2005 season had it's share of ups and downs, Kevin finished a disapointing 9th in the Thunderstock points with an average points per race of 58. Dan finished 19th of 24 drivers but only competed in 2 events, he had a much better average of 69 points per race. He and Jeromme also had a heat race win as well as a feature win, great job guys!!!
BOSS WRacing takes great pride in it's excellent enduro reputation and 2005 was no exception. The Mid Summer event was won by Sherman Brown with 275 laps, Dan finished 9th with 221 laps after spending 20 minutes in the pits with ignition problems. Geoff had rad hose problems and finally ended his day with a broken axle but he still managed to bring home a 10th place finish before being put on the trailer. I (Clay) didn't even attend the race as I was in Edmonton at the first inagural "West Edmonton Grand Prix" Champ Car race which was won by Sebastian Bourdais. The Trans Am series and Toyota Atlantic series also provided some exciting moments for the highlight reel. To cap off a beautiful weekend of racing I purposed to my girlfriend Brandy who accepted!!!
That takes us to the Ultimate and final Enduro to be held at the Bridge City Speedway 1971-2005. This promised to be the wildest race yet and it lived up to that and more! Both Sherman Brown and Clay were caught up in a huge wreck on lap 3. This ended Clay's day and his car...permanantly! Sherman spent the rest of the first half in the pits and only went out in the second half to inflict damage. Clay was scored as having 3 laps and finished 39th of 39 entrants while Sherman managed a total of 32 laps and finished 35th. With all the bad luck used up early the remaining 3 team cars had an excelent race. Geoff Crowter finished in a tie for 5th with 227 laps, Kevin Sparks in his first Enduro appearance brought it home to a fine 3rd place finish with 244 laps, he also lost 10 lbs. A big congrats goes out to him!!! Last but certainly not least, in a great show of driving talent, pit crew team work, and horse shoes in their shorts Dan and Jeromme managed to do what every other driver and team were trying to do...they Won the final Bridge City Speedway, Ellen Plastics Mfg / CJWW Ultimate Enduro to every be held at that track! A HUGE Congatulations goes out to the guys on a thrilling 254 laps. Great job guys!!! Well that pretty much sums up th '05 season. So what's in the works for '06 you ask? Well with no car and a wedding to plan I think it's safe to say that Clay is taking a year off! As for the rest of the guys it will depend on the completion date and race schedule for the new track. Other than that lets just say a little dirt might be in their future...until next time
May 15/05: Kevin Sparks gets his first win in Thunder Stock in the first race of the 2005 Season and in other news, BOSS WRacing suffers the agony of a blown engine in the first feature race of the year! Back to the garage we go.
November 10/04: Well finally catching up on things around the house enough to find the time to update the website! 2004 was a very busy but very enjoyable year of racing. Ok maybe a couple of us didn't have a great time at the Ultimate Enduro (no names mentioned)but overall 3 of the 5 BOSS WRacing cars finished in the top 10! A big congradulations goes out to Geoff Crowter for a (Tied)3rd place finish, Dan Boyle for a 5th place finish and Jerome Ouellette for an 8th place finish. The Thunder Stock Team with driver Kevin Sparks had an equally great year, Kevin finishing 6th in the overall standings , achieved a 2nd in a Heat Race and came home 3rd in a Feature on two seperate occasions. (Rounds 2 and 9, I looked it up so you didn't have to!!!)
